Alien Ninja Turtles?

In case you didn't hear, Michael Bay is doing a reboot of a beloved Childhood classic of mine: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 

In a recent interview he said:
"These turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable."

As a TMNT fan, I am siding with the purists that are outraged at his changes.
